In this post is the work that harry and I have been working on since my last entry. We have covered our favourite game Sims 3. There is also a video but it is refusing to upload so hopefully it will be on here soon.

Evaluation of animation (Wednesday 25th November)

Animation Evaluation

Personal:

I personally thought my animation was professional, good and entertaining. Although I did have a few technical problems I think it went well.

Other Classmates:

I believe that all of them were good although it was quite apparent who had put the time and effort in.

The above video is an ongoing project we are currently doing in Creative Digital Media. We have also been asked to do a poster which will be up shortly and a radio advert. I will be adding my voice to this video as soon as I have recorded what needs to be sent.

Above is the poster for DMC 1, I copied over some photos of the class and also from another file into photoshop and created the lettering and background, and this is the finished product.

Made it in today :) Although a bit tired now :(

Made it into college today, which was a good thing really as I met up with Richie who informed me we were going on a trip. He had received an email that it looks like no one else got to let us know to turn up early. Gradually people turned up and were told. In the email it said that we were all to meet up by 8.45 to have the register taken and to get on the bus that would take us to Glenrothes. It came to 9am and no one came, so we asked a passing member of staff what was happening. They said that the substitute tutor wasn't in today so we would have to "look after ourselves and behave", which was useful. We got on the bus and we went to a theatre in Glenrothes where we saw a production of "Stay Safe" which was generally watching clips from a presentation on a road traffic accident and the gradual stages of what happened next, during the intervals there was a member of an emergency service - paramedic, fireman etc, who gave a speech on what happened and in one case - the triage nurse - actually partially demonstrated how to insert a tube into a chest cavity when your lung has collapsed, as this is what had happened to one of the characters in the presentation. After this another speaker came on the stage, he was a father of a crash victim, the victim being his son, and he described the dreadful day of when his son was involved in a car accident, when he had finished his speech he called his son out onto the stage, the son, who is now in an automatic wheelchair due to being paralised, and is also unable to talk, came out and using a machine which allows him to communicate, told us about the accident and advised us that it isn't cool to show off in a car and to always wear a seatbelt. He also spoke about what his life was like before and after the accident, he spoke of playing football, enojoyed skiing holidays with his parents, but now everything has to be done for him as he now unable to do these things due to the accident.
When the show had finished we grouped up together to make sure we were all accounted for and got on the coach back to college. To make sure that tutors/student payroll knew we were here we all wrote our names and numbers on a piece of paper and handed it to a tutor in Media Space.

I read up on what the guys in college were doing today and i gave it a go. Doctors tomorrow :l

Friday 30th October

Made it into college, lasted an hour, then was forced home by the flu. Really not very well :(

Thursday 29th October

Today I was not in college due to feeling and being very ill. Also wanting to find out who invented the flu bug so I can sue them. Hopefully will be in college tomorrow.

Wednesday 28th October

Today in Creative Digital Media we played catch up with finishing the project New Disc, which generally involved doing the dreaded paperwork. We love paperwork honest :)

Today in Creative Digital Media we were playing with finger puppets against a blue background, I had the little mouse, it's so cute. We then searched the internet for background pictures from around the world to replace the blue screen. It is work in process and will be on here shortly, maybe I will even come up with a name for the mouse :D

The above poster is what I have achieved in todays Creative Digital Media lesson. We started talking about sections of digital media and the different parts of it. We then produced posters to show our findings.

The above is what I produced in todays lesson of Creative Digital Media. I took a relevant background picture of a forest and brought in pictures that I had on my memory stick and played pretty. I was also ment to make link buttons but my computer was seriously playing up, so I will have try that another time.
